Celebrating Ten Years of Success!

Since 1984 many landowners in the watershed have taken steps to improve the water quality of Mill Creek. The Friends of Mill Creek formed in 1998 to support their work. Participating landowners have invited Friends of Mill Creek and their partner agencies to help them rehabilitate the creek. Friends of Mill Creek helps landowners obtain a professional assessment of their stretch of creek. Where rehabilitation is warranted, they advise landowners of the steps to obtain permits and then successfully implement their project. These projects include planting trees , rebuilding the stream banks, constructing riffles and even eliminating online ponds . Friends of Mill Creek, their partner agencies and the Mill Creek Stewardship Rangers, are sometimes able to carry out projects on behalf of the landowners.
