LANDOWNER STEWARDSHIP
OBJECTIVES

Promote good landowner stewardship of the subwatershed

LANDOWNER STEWARDSHIP OBJECTIVES: GENERAL STRATEGY

Given that a significant portion of this reach flows through urbanized public spaces, the City of Cambridge and by extension Cambridge residents, are the stewards of Mill Creek. The fact that Shade’s Mills Conservation area, Soper Park and the creek are significant public amenities provides an excellent opportunity to promote good community stewardship. Local promotion of any rehabilitation efforts and public inclusion, wherever feasible, are part of the strategy for this reach.

Friends of Mill Creek can play an active role in assisting the public to be good stewards of this valued urban resource and by seeking public support for rehabilitation projects.
