Ranger Crew

Environmental leaders for tomorrow

Each summer since 2003, four local high school students and a Crew Leader have been hired to undertake rehabilitation projects along the creek, often on private land. The Rangers spend much of their summer wearing chest-waders while they work and learn in the water. Educational opportunities are combined with practical in-creek experience to provide a well rounded, hands-on, experience.

The Township of Puslinch, Optimist Club of Puslinch and Ontario Trillium Foundation initially supported the Rangers, with additional contributions from the local community. Today, individuals, businesses and organizations donate their time, money and expertise to ensure the Rangers are in the creek each summer.
